Severe COVID-19: What puts you at risk?
COVID-19 can cause severe illness regardless of age or health status, but the risk is even greater if you’re in a high-risk group. You are thought to be at high risk if you are 60 years and older, and/or have pre-existing health conditions (heart disease, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, chronic lung disease, etc.).13
